Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse, was announced at E3

June 9, 2012 in 3d Animation

While I was freelancing last year I was able to work on quite a few different projects.  Now that it’s been announced I can finally give a name to the title I had been working on.  It’s called…

Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse

Although my role was minimal I was contracted by Pencil Test Studios to create in game animations for a handful of enemy AI. I very much enjoyed the animations I was able to create for this game and hope the game does well when it’s eventually released on September 25, 2012 on both the XBox 360 & PS3.

April 6th became my new favorite day!

April 6, 2012 in 3d Animation, Featured

On Friday April 6th 2012 I accepted a Character animation position with ReadyAtDawn Studios. This closes out a crazy year of Freelance/Contract work. I am extremely excited about the new position and can’t wait to get started at the Studio.

Asked ReadyAtDawn's Producer Marc to capture the Happy moment!

My first official day is April 23rd and it can’t get here fast enough. The entire RAD team is extremely talented and I really believe this company is well on its way to becoming the next great developer.

Here’s an accolades video I found on that shows just how well received their AAA games are 🙂

Warrior 3 Hit Combo Animation

March 8, 2012 in 3d Animation, Featured

I’ve been wanted to start uploading character animations on a regular basis so here goes. Using a character I modeled back in 2007(he’s dated I know…) I created this specific animation a few months ago and decided to render it out. It’s a good old fashion 3 hit combo. I’m hoping to return to this animation down the line and add in a character getting nailed by his hammer. It’s really short so I lengthened it a bit to hopefully allow it to run a little smoother.

Dueling Blades

February 14, 2012 in 3d Animation, Featured

HourBlast Games just released a trailer for its first social game, Dueling Blades.  Although the trailer doesn’t show a lot of animation, it does provide a good interpretation of what can be expected from the game.  Releasing on facebook in March, Dueling Blades is a fully 3d social game that runs on the Unity 3D engine.  This allows them to not only release on facebook, but mobile applications as well.

Being a PvP game at heart the games core is combat.  Animation wise this game was a dream come true because it was solely animated be me.  From the simplest idle animations to the most complex furies I had 100% control of the games animation feel and direction. We worked so closely together to create this game, and it’s been a lot of fun. Can’t wait until it gets released out to the masses!

Been Bitten

December 7, 2011 in 3d Animation

Here’s another animation I did on my spare time.  It’s a dialogue piece that has some funny British humor.

For this one a used a well known Norman rig created by Leif Jeffers, Morgan Loomis, Peter Starostin, and Neal Thibodeaux

Ninja Slice 1

December 4, 2011 in 3d Animation, Featured

A while ago I asked friends if I could have their characters to rig and create animations for my site. A friend gave me this female ninja character and I thought it might be cool to cut something in half. I figured the shot would be eye catching. After adding the VFX’s, it turned out to be a lot more “eye catching” then I expected haha. It pretty much a bloody mess.

What I’m attempting to do with this is create a small series of shots where this female ninja cuts the bad guy in half in various ways. This is the first shot from this series.

Sneak Attack

Here’s a quick animation I made using a few of my brothers blocking rigs. I actually made the animation a while back, but I was recently able to find all the files and clean it up a little more. It’s a shame the main character models were never completed because I would have really enjoyed polishing this animation to get a nice final shot.
